Intel Core Ultra Powers Acer's New High-Performance Swift Series

By Greg Tavarez

I recently wrote an article that discusses AI PCs and Lenovo; it's essentially a summary on how Lenovo’s AI PCs use natural interactions, personalized large language models and advanced computing architectures to make computing more personal by tailoring experiences to individual users. Read more about it here.

With that said, the focus of this article will be on another well-known PC brand that has dipped its toes into AI.

That brand?

Acer.

Acer recently introduced its latest Swift 14 AI and Swift 16 AI Copilot+ laptops, the first models in the Swift series to feature Intel Core Ultra processors.

Acer and Intel have collaborated to create laptops that deliver exceptional performance, long-lasting battery life and advanced security features. The new Swift models are equipped with Intel Core Ultra processors, which optimize processing across the CPU, built-in Intel Arc graphics and next-gen NPU.

As a result, the new laptops can accelerate GenAI tasks and creations with ease. They also feature new P-cores and E-cores designed for uncompromised performance while delivering exceptional power efficiency and battery life.

Additionally, the new laptops safeguard users' digital assets with biometric security and several layers of protection built-in at the hardware and software levels. The new Intel Partner Security Engine, for example, helps preserve data confidentiality and code integrity while maintaining high performance for demanding AI workloads. To boot, the Microsoft Pluton security processor ensures that they are both secured-core PCs providing chip-to-cloud security.

In addition to their impressive performance and security, the Swift 14 AI and Swift 16 AI offer a range of premium features. They feature OLED displays and a sleek, modern design. The laptops also come with intelligent AI solutions, such as Acer LiveArt and Acer Assist, that helps users streamline settings, optimize video presence and elevate communication.

Acer is committed to sustainability and incorporated recycled materials into the design of the Swift 14 AI and Swift 16 AI. The laptops also ship with 100% recycled packaging and are EPEAT Gold-registered.

"The debut of the newest Intel Core Ultra processor-powered AI PCs from Acer is bringing meaningful improvement to customers' lives," said James Lin, General Manager, Notebooks, Acer Inc. "The latest Swift Copilot+ PCs are set to deliver new AI experiences that will help Acer customers better organize, enjoy and accomplish more at home, school and work."

The Acer Swift 14 AI will be available in North America in September, starting at $1,199.99. The Acer Swift 16 AI will be available in North America in October, starting at $1,199.99. Exact specifications, prices and availability will vary by region.
