IntelePeer Secures $140M Funding to Revolutionize Contact Centers with AI

By Stefania Viscusi

IntelePeer, a provider of AI-powered Communications Automation, has secured $140 million in new growth funding and debt financing. This investment will enable the company to advance its mission of transforming contact centers and enhancing customer experience through AI and automation.

The company offers easy-to-deploy, enterprise-grade solutions that help businesses quickly implement AI-powered omnichannel communications. These solutions automate customer interactions securely and efficiently.

AI is rapidly changing businesses across various industries, with market potential expected to reach trillions within the next decade. Generative AI (Gen AI) is a major part of this transformation.

According to Bain & Company, nearly 90% of companies have already deployed or piloted Gen AI technology. Additionally, 87% of businesses rank Gen AI among their top five priorities for the next few years.

The success of AI depends on integrating it into domain-specific workflows and processes. IntelePeer's AI Agents are designed to improve customer and patient services for Fortune 500 and large mid-market companies across healthcare, retail, financial services, logistics, transportation, and insurance sectors. These solutions are already generating significant ROI by reducing the need for contact center agents and increasing worker productivity.

“IntelePeer grew its AI business by more than 100% year-over-year and is forecasting further acceleration due to our commitment to reinventing the contact center through customer self-service automation,” said IntelePeer CEO Frank Fawzi.

“This funding validates our long-term goal. Our unique sales process uses Gen AI to understand why consumers contact businesses, creating an intent map to identify AI use cases that deliver the highest ROI and best customer experience. This funding will help us expand our AI Agent portfolio and invest more in our product development and sales and marketing initiatives.”

“The advent of Gen AI has opened the floodgates for businesses to achieve massive operational efficiencies while greatly improving customer experience,” added Fawzi. “Our partnership with Microsoft Azure OpenAI ensures responsible AI implementation, a key consideration for all clients. This new backing from investors is exciting, and we will continue to develop top-tier AI Agents that provide our customers with the best security and compliance.”
