Genesis Cloud + Photoroom.
Let’s get into it.
Genesis Cloud designs, operates and distributes advanced AI-powered cloud services. Founded with an M.O. of revolutionizing access to tons of AI solutions – scalable and affordable ones, at that – Genesis AI’s of-the-modern-age promise is the supercharge businesses with 35 times more performance for LLMs, GenAI and large multi-node trainings; we’re talking about advanced data management, end-to-end ML platforms, and much more that are a.) less costly than other legacy providers, and b.) create a reliable and hassle-free means of harnessing AI in myriad forms.
Photoroom provides photo-editing software that enables entrepreneurs and SMBs alike to compose outstanding that images that, well, stand out. By leveraging deep learning to translate pixels into objects, Photoroom’s aim is to drastically simplify non-creative tasks; removing backgrounds from images, manipulating objects to enhance visuals, and other professional AI-powered edit capabilities. Already trusted by Warner Bros., Netflix, Klarna, Shopify and others, Photoroom can take advantage of Photoroom AI Fill, Batch Mode and plenty of other useful features.
There’s the background. Now, the news context:
Genesis Cloud and Photoroom have announced a strategic partnership that is poised, according to the official announcement, “to significantly enhance AI-powered photo editing and training workloads.”
But how specifically will this shake out?
Well, the key here is actually sustainability. As Photoroom’s CTO Eliot Andres describes, “It’s important to be honest about the fact that AI models burn a huge amount of energy. Us working with Genesis Cloud just makes sense; Photoroom believes we can positively impact the AI industry’s energy mix by choosing the right providers. Partnering with Genesis Cloud means we can achieve top performance in training our models and significantly enhance our computational capabilities, and having a direct line with Genesis’s more-than-competent engineering team spurs tremendously useful efforts during the setup and operation of the GPU cluster.”
Additionally, Genesis Cloud doesn’t rely on carbon offsetting programs, focusing instead on direct connection of the data center to renewable energy. This aligns perfectly with Photoroom’s commitment to sustainability. (Genesis Cloud’s data centers also run 100% on green energy, which will help Photoroom avoid 1,300 tons of CO2 per year.)
“We are thrilled to partner with Photoroom, a leader in AI photo editing,” stated Dr. Stefan Schiefer, CEO of Genesis Cloud. “This collaboration showcases the strength of Genesis Cloud’s high-performance cloud infrastructure in supporting advanced AI training workloads,”
It's not every day that an AI-centric story focuses this intently on sustainable, high-performance compute. Nevertheless, Genesis Cloud and Photoroom are making it happen.
